Spa Time Baby BlogHer Giveaway!

I am thrilled to be sponsored by Spa Time Baby for my trip to BlogHer '10. Thanks to their help, I am here in New York City meeting other bloggers and learning how to do what I do better. What is in it for you though? Well, I am so glad you asked because I am getting to host a great giveaway for Spa Time Baby Cape or Mat!

While my littlest one has outgrown our cape, we used it up until he simply would not allow us to swaddle him up in it anymore. We do use our mat every evening when we get Luke dried and dressed for bed after his bath. However, I have been known to use it as a changing mat or even take it to the beach as a back up towel. I have even packed it in the car to use as a clean place to change the kid's diapers or clothes. It is really fabulous.

The Spa Time Baby Cape was irreplaceable when Luke was smaller. He was a large baby and when taking him out of the bath, it was always a struggle to make sure he didn't slip out of our arms or get us completely drenched as we took him out of the bath. The cape is so much bigger than other similar products and is so much thicker and durable.

WIN IT!: One of my readers will win a Spa Time Baby Cape or Mat of their choice.

TO ENTER: Go to Spa Time Baby and tell me either what you would chose (and pattern)  if you won OR what other product you loved!

My Living Stories iTunes Gift Card Giveaway UPDATED Ends 8/13!!

My husband received an iPod Touch a little while ago and my first thought was, "Really? Do you really need another gadget?!" Funny thing is, apparently I need another gadget. The iPod Touch is so much fun and it has been great entertainment tool for Jake when he needs to be distracted and quiet like waiting for a doctor's appointment.
My Living Stories are animated storybooks that bring both new stories and the classics to life on the iPhone and iPod Touch. These apps combine beautiful artwork, narration and interactive features in an easy to use platform that is perfect for preschoolers to read along all on their own, without any help. My Living Stories are a great solution for entertaining on-the-go or as an aid for teaching children to read at home. The apps allow for your child to read along with English narration or read the stories themselves. Interactive sounds and animation bring stories to life. Another great feature is the ability to record your own voice to go along with the story (this feature requires an iPhone or iPod Touch with microphone capabilities). My Living Story classic stories include Princess & the Pea, King Midas, The Tortoise & the Hare, Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

We downloaded 3 of the My Living Stories apps: Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Tortoise and the Hare. Jake's favorite is The Tortoise and the Hare (or the Bunny story as he calls it) and I love that it has a great lesson attached and that he can travel through the story at his own pace and gets excited to do so each time. Generally the apps that I have on my iPod Touch are matching games (like Memory) and animal guessing games. The My Living Stories seem to entertain Jake for a much longer time making waiting for our food at a restaurant so much less painful!

WIN IT!: One of my readers will win a $25 iTunes Gift Card!

Countdown to Blogher - Are we There yet?

How fast does a year go by? In a blink of an eye!

I started planning my trip to BlogHer in August of 2009, with buying the conference pass, reserving the hotel room and beginning to start asking companies I loved (Thank you Brittanie's Thyme, Hyde Yoga and Spa Time Baby) to sponsor my trip. It is now 1-year-later and you would think that with 12 months of time to plan, one would be ready to go. You'd think.
Today is my last full 24 hours at home and the last minute trips to the stores for "things" needs to stop. Well, after my last minute trip to the store today. It is time for me to try to pack everything into one suitcase if I can (literally rolling-on-the-floor-laughing at that thought) and double check the 10 lists I have floating around the house so I don't forget to pack something.

I am really excited to meet all my friends A Nut in a Nutshell, Seeryus Mama, Katydid and Kid, Eighty MPH Mom, Mommas Reviews, Live, Laugh, Love and Bloggings, and An Island Life to name a few. These women are fabulous. I don't ever need to meet them to know they are spectactular and would be there for me should I need them. I am also thrilled to make some new friends like Dexter's Super Savvy Mommy.

Trying to keep it all in perpsective. It isn't about how much stuff you take home (ie: swag), how many parties you are invited to, and what you or others are wearing. It is about making connections with other women celebrating how wonderful we (and blogging) are.

Though the swag is certainly exciting...
