I was not looking forward to throwing another birthday party. It wasn't because I didn't want to celebrate my child's birthday, I just hate the hassle. Then I was contacted by Liz at AE Scrapbooking who makes the most adorable custom party decorations. Suddenly I was getting a little excited about this party.


Liz was easy to work with and kept me up to date with the process. I choose a color scheme and asked her to make a happy birthday banner, door hanger and cupcake toppers. They turned out even more adorable than I had hoped. All the materials were high quality and beautiful. The only thing that I would suggest to her would be to use a thicker paper stock for the door hanger.

Each letter of the banner is hand tied with beautiful coordinating ribbon and the way she strings the letters together, they stay straight and do not twirl. Everything is so well constructed that I can see us using these year after year. I was even able to save the cupcake toppers!

Since everything that she makes is customizable, your only limits are your creativity. You can get a different banner for each holiday, one birthday banner to re-use each year for each of your kids, graduation parties, etc. I was thinking her cupcake toppers would be fabulous baby shower game/decoration. You could make the toppers each letter of the new baby's name and make a game out of unscrambling the cupcakes to figure out what the name is. What a deal - a game and decoration all in one!
