Aloha Friday

Posted by Kari @ A Giveaway Addicted Mommy | 9:21 PM | | 29 comments »

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response."

To participate, you ask your readers a question and then sign Kailani's Linky with your Aloha Friday post.

So head over to An Island Life and answer her question. But first, answer mine. I mean you are already here, right? =)

When you park in a parking lot do you...

  1. Park in the first spot you find?
  2. Park in the farthest spot so you get a little exercise?
  3. Park in the closest spot you can find without driving up and down each aisle?
  4. Drive around until you find the closet spot possible, no matter how long it takes?
I have always wanted to park in the farthest spot so I could just park and be done with it & get a little exercise in the process... Yeah, that doesn't happen too often.

    When I could drive I chose #3.

  2. Angela // October 29, 2009 10:11 PM

Basically #1. Although sometimes I will search for the closest spot if I have a lot to carry.

    My Aloha Friday :)

  3. Vicki // October 29, 2009 10:49 PM

#2. I walk as much as I can and this is one example of getting more.

I've gotta go w/ your answer although typically it's #3. Like you I always have good intentions though. *g*

Usually #2, but sometimes I want a close parking spot depending on the errand or how much of a hurry I'm in.

Depends on where I am...at the grocery store, just wherever is fine. When I go to the mall...I try for the spot that I will remember where I parked the best. I don't mind if its close or far away...just as long as I can find it when I come out. LOL

we just park on the furthest spot possible..not for the exercise, but because the closest ones are usually really crowded.. and as i hate crowded places.. i rather walk 100 miles than be in a crowded place voluntarily:)

    Aloha!

    *my Aloha Friday's up too:)

I park in a spot where I know I can get the kids in and out of their car seats - lol!

    ♥ Happy Friday! ♥

    Usually #1, I don't care where I park.

  10. I am Harriet // October 30, 2009 2:53 AM

I park my minivan in a pull through far away and by a cart return.

    Happy Friday!

    #3 for sure.

On Kailanis blog you mentioned a fireplace insert....we've got one too! Don't you just love it? Best thing they ever invented.

In good weather #2, but not just for the exercise. I also like t park out to protect my car. In the winter months the closest place I can find that had no snow in it.

  13. Ave // October 30, 2009 4:57 AM

    #3 for me :)

  14. Whimsical Creations // October 30, 2009 5:26 AM

    #3 most of the time.

  15. Flying Giggles and Lollipops // October 30, 2009 5:43 AM

The first spot I find, even if it is pretty far. It seems I am always in a hurry. It is more time consuming to actually keep looking for a spot than it is to park, get out and walk.

  16. Dee // October 30, 2009 5:52 AM

Park in the closest spot you can find without driving up and down each aisle

  17. Kari // October 30, 2009 6:02 AM

I look for a spot that I can pull straight through into the next space (so that I won't have to back out). I drive an SUV and because of it's size, I hate backing if I don't have to.

    Happy Halloween!

  18. pam // October 30, 2009 6:27 AM

I always park where I can pull through. Those parking lots are so tight, that I find it difficult to back out of a spot with my van.

  19. Michelle // October 30, 2009 6:34 AM

I park in the first spot I find. My husband drives around forever and makes me crazy.

  20. LT // October 30, 2009 6:59 AM

I am a number 3 sort of person. I don't like wasting time driving around and around!

  21. Carole // October 30, 2009 7:52 AM

None of the above. I park as close to the cart return as I can.

  22. blueviolet // October 30, 2009 9:42 AM

I'll park in the closest spot in the row I want to be in. It doesn't matter really. It's not like I'm going to remember where I parked anyhow. I've lost that skill.

  23. JamericanSpice // October 30, 2009 10:56 AM

No I usually look for a good spot either in the front or away from people so I can back up easily since I drive a big truck.

I'll drive around only twice to find a good spot. Sometimes something open up at the very front!

  24. ~ Noelle // October 30, 2009 11:34 AM

    That totally depends..
I will go down and aisle or 2 looking, then its whatever is closest.
My dad, on the other hand, parks so far out, you do not know what store he is going to.

  25. TheEclecticElement // October 30, 2009 12:47 PM

    I don't drive, but when I do I'd probably do #1.
If it's yucky weather then I would probably do #4

  26. Twincerely,Olga // October 30, 2009 1:08 PM

    #3.Closest one I can find!

  27. Katie // October 30, 2009 3:24 PM

It depends on a lot of things - in general I park in the 1st one I find, but if I have my daughter I park closer.

  28. Mrs. Lucero // October 30, 2009 8:12 PM

When I drive #3. When my husband drives #2, but I am not sure it is for the exercise.

  29. Jennifer-Eighty MPH Mom // November 1, 2009 7:54 AM

I choose 4 usually LOL. But sometimes I will just take the closest one I find. My husband on the other hand always picks a stupid spot. I'm pointing as we cruise along "there's one...oh there's one", yet he passes them all by.
