SanDisk Memory Vault: Save Your Family's Memories

If it hasn't happened to you yet, count your blessings. I am talking about a computer crash that causes you to lose all your photos. You'd think that if it happens to you once you would make sure to buy something that will back up all of your precious photos so that you don't lose memories ever again. You wouldn't be me then.

I have been tempting fate I know. I thought the process of "backing up" my photos would be hard and expensive. SanDisk Memory Vault has come to my rescue and couldn't have been easier - I just connected the device to my computer's USB port and used the easy drag-and-drop function. Plus at only $89.99 for 16GB it is affordable. I'd also expected something bulky or large and I just don't have the room. The SanDisk Memory Vault is so small it is downright cute!

Instead of relying on hard drives or CDs you can keep your family memories preserved for years to come with the SanDisk Memory Vault. Tested to support data retention for up to 100 years you can stop worrying or simply continue to not think about losing your memories since you are now covered!

Want to purchase one for your family or as a gift this holiday? I've got 4 (four) 20% codes redeemable at http://shop.SanDisk.com and the first 4 people to email me at agiveawayaddictedmommy at gmail dot com will receive them.

“I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of SanDisk and received a product sample to facilitate my review, and coupons to giveaway.”

Elf Magic - The Tradition Continues

Last year you might remember the arrival of Murray (yes, everything is named Murray in my 4-year-old Jake's life) the Elf from Elf-Magic. Murray arrives every year the day after Thanksgiving which officially starts the Christmas holiday season for our family.

Murray is on loan to us from Santa Claus for the holiday so that Jake can play with him and also to play along with Murray's Elfcapades. Each night we put Murray to bed in his suitcase/bed and sprinkle him with North Pole Snowflakes that allow him to come alive while we are all sleeping. Murray has lots of fun during his Elfcapades but also tends to get into some trouble. Last night he took all the red ornaments off the tree! Jake is so excited each morning to see what Murray has been up to.

This year Murray arrived with new Elfits. Our favorite is the Artic Play Elfit which is a miniature 6-piece winter set that includes a sky blue arctic jacket with a zipper for closure and lined in a soft lime green Polartec fabric, waterproof snowboard pant, white long-sleeve shirt, authenticated with the embroidered Elf Magic snowflake in lime green, lime green Polartec mittens edged with a blue blanket stitch and attached together with a lime green satin ribbon, lime green Polartec hat edged with a blue blanket stitch and topped in a pompom style and a pair of black boots. (Snowboard not included but can be downloaded from the Elf-Magic site)

I hope that this encourages you to find a tradition to share with your children. I know that Jake has been waiting all year for Murray to come back to visit and my husband and I enjoy helping Murray out each night (if needed). It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season - this reminds us that for children the holiday is magical. Murray keeps the magic alive for all us.

Check out all the available elves and accessories at Elf Magic.

{{GIVEAWAY}} Losing It? Try Found It!

In the long list of what is wrong with me is the fact that I lose everything. The hectic life of a mother of 3 often finds me rushing all to often. I once found the phone handset in the refrigerator. I guess I try to do too many things at one time?

I have also left my keys in stores and not just at the checkout counter, I've also left them on store shelves when I got distracted by something I wanted or just put them down without thinking. My cell phone is another often lost item and I have even left my purse in the shopping cart after unloading the groceries and loading the kids in the car. Apparently my mother was right when growing up she told me that I'd "lose my head if it weren't attached."

FoundIt! is the answer to my prayers. They supplied me with a personal FoundIt! ID and stickers/tags with this ID to put on my stuff. This way anyone who finds my misplaced item simply has to follow the easy directions on the tag and contacts FoundIt! by text or at foundit.net. FoundIt! then instantly texts & emails me with the finder's information and then I contact the finder. My personal information remains safe and private.

FoundIt! offers 3 different packages and would make a great gift for that forgetful someone on your holiday list. I have the MacDaddy Package which includes:

- 3 years access to the FoundIt! Network
- 62 FoundIt! Stickers & more each year
- 2 key chain tags
- 4 backpack/bag tags
- 2 round tags (pet tags!)
- FoundIt! ID card/luggage tag

I was able to place these on my kids bags and on their higher priced toys because they apparently inherited my knack for losing everything. We haven't had to use the service yet thankfully, but it gives me such peace of mind knowing that when (not if) I do misplace something, it has a much greater chance of getting back to me (96% return rate on items with a FoundIt! ID).

{{GIVEAWAY}} Sentry Safe Protects Your Memories

Even if you don't live in a high fire danger area like I do, we all know that fires can happen anywhere, anytime. There is a huge sense of security knowing that your important mementos, documents and pictures are safe. SentrySafe has been in business for 80 years and offers a lifetime after-fire replacement guarantee made choosing them as the protector of my memories an easy one.

This year SentrySafe teamed up with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and is offering SentrySafe pink products. This pink safe is modeled after their best-selling Fire-Safe Chest. SentrySafe pink products are perfect for protecting USB drives, passports, birth certificates and other important valuables. An extra bonus is that it is pretty and since we use it to store documents that we frequently use, I am able to leave it out and it isn't an eye sore.

I don't know anyone who hasn't been touched by some type of cancer. My family currently has two women who are courageously fighting breast cancer and so choosing Sentry Safe to share with you also holds special meaning for me. For every SentrySafe pink product purchased, they will donate $1 from your purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, for a total of up to $25,000. BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime.

You can purchase The SentrySafe Pink 100 on Amazon.com, Academy,  and Walmart. Pink not your thing? Walmart also offers a Black 1100 Fire Chest which contributes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as well.
