Take Me Back Tuesday - Muddy Football

Posted by Kari @ A Giveaway Addicted Mommy | 7:52 PM | | 7 comments »

How do you play along? We all have tons of photos from the days before the digital camera. I figure if I just scan a few each week, eventually I will get them all safely into my computer. But you don't need a scanner to participate - Just find a photo that takes you back to another time. Every week you can come back here and share photos that "take you back." Maybe it is the bad hair we all had in the 80's or the bell-bottoms you swore were so hip in the 70's.
If you decide to participate, sign the Linky below and I promise to head on over and spread some comment love your way!

It Tastes Good & It's Good For You? - Fiber One Giveaway

Posted by Kari @ A Giveaway Addicted Mommy | 7:06 PM | , | 68 comments »

I am certainly one of the many Americans who do not get nearly enough fiber each day. I already eat Fiber One cereal and I have to admit it doesn't taste as good as the Lucky Charms I wish I was eating. So, when My Blog Spark offered to send me a free coupon to try Fiber One's yogurt I expected to like it but still wish I was eating my traditional Yoplait yogurt I love. Tack on that each 4 ounce serving has only 50 calories, zero fat and 5 grams of fiber and I used the Safeway gift card I also received to pick up my favorite Yoplait yogurts, you know, just in case.

This isn't the first time, and certainly won't be the last time I have been wrong. Fiber One's yogurt tasted just as good as any other Yoplait yogurt. At 5 grams of fiber, Fiber One yogurt meets 20% of my Recommended Daily Value. This is by far the easiest way to add more fiber to your diet that I have found. I use it as a dessert or a snack inbetween meals because fiber really does make you feel fuller and it just tames that little need for something to eat or something sweet. I almost feel like I am cheating but that makes it kinda fun too!

WIN IT!: Safeway and Fiber One want to give away a $50 Safeway gift card to one of my readers so you too can try Fiber One yogurt yourself! (Safeway gift card also good at Dominick´s, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Vons, and Genuardi´s)

TO  ENTER: Which flavor of Fiber One yogurt do you want to try? (Mandatory entry, please leave in comments)

For extra entry opportunities, please click "Extra Entries" above.

Contest ends March 23rd at 11:59 PST and a winner will be chosen at random and contacted via email. I will contact the winner on or around March 24th and they will have 48 hours to respond. Open to US Only

A New View

Posted by Kari @ A Giveaway Addicted Mommy | 9:45 AM | | 3 comments »

I hesitated, procrastinated, over-thought and second-guessed, writing this post. I have always enjoyed watching The View. It has been my guilty pleasure that I would normally put off until the boys were asleep for their naps so I could watch it without commercials and without a child in need of a diaper change.

Being a part of The View Brand Ambassador program has me watching with a different eye. Who knew I had 3 eyes, huh? Tweeting along with my fellow #theviewmoms we began to start doing what women do, complain. Sorry gals. As the weeks have progressed, the show has become less and less fun to watch. The things that I was finding annoying, were verified as annoying by my fellow moms and were really beginning to drive me nutty. Enough so I was whining to my husband about it. He listened, bless his heart, but it was then I realized that my complaints were down right whiny. Unimportant. Taken out of the world of Twitter they really sounded dumb.

I am glad I am a professional procrastinator because I am going to watch the next week of The View - see below for the line-up - with my original 2 eyes and just enjoy it. There is great content on this show and I have learned a lot from the guests they have had, as well as from the Hot Topics segments where I have often seen things from another, wait for it, View.

If you aren't a fan of the show, I ask you to find your 3rd eye (we all have one, I think) and give it another try. Think of it as a chance to sit around the table with women who have their own thoughts and opinions and aren't afraid to share them. You can agree, disagree, throw Legos at the screen or laugh along with them and no one has to know. I certainly won't tell. But I for one NEED this show. Right now one child is eating paper and I think needs a diaper change (hoping for gas) and the other is having a major melt-down because his hat has fallen off his head and I am eagerly awaiting naptime and my time with the ladies of, The View.

MONDAY, MARCH 8 – The day after the Oscars!!  It isn’t over till the co-hosts have spoken! Guest co-host Vanessa Williams (“ABC’s Ugly Betty”); Day of “Hot Topics”; co-host Sherri Shepherd will Skype live from Hollywood post-Academy Awards and share her Oscar experience; Chris Cuomo breaks down crimes in the headlines. First time musical guests – Lady Antebellum perform

TUESDAY, MARCH 9 – Guests -Andy Garcia and his daughter Dominik Garcia-Lorido (“City Island”); Elissa Stein and Susan Kim (author, Flow: The Cultural Story of Menstruation).

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10 – Guests: Forest Whitaker (“Our Family Wedding”); Jesse Ventura (author, American Conspiracies).

THURSDAY, MARCH 11 – Sir Elton John will be sitting with the women at the table and partaking in “Hot Topics”; Guest - Eric McCormack (“Who Is Clark Rockefeller?”).

FRIDAY, MARCH 12 – Co- Host Kate Gosselin is back and will join the women and the return of “The View: Fashion Friday” with designer Carolina Herrera.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for ABC Daytime and will receive a tote bag or other The View branded items to facilitate my review.
